Description
Bacter AE is a water additive for improvement of biofilms and the microflora and microfauna in shrimp tanks. Bacter AE Micro Powder adds important microorganisms, amino acids and enzymes to your aquarium. It enhances water quality and improves the development of biofilms, which are essential for shrimp. The biofilms provide your shrimps with valuable staple food rich in beneficial proteins, especially important for improving the survival rate of young shrimplets. In addition, live probiotic bacteria improve the nutrient uptake of the shrimp and influence their digestive processes. The bacteria contained in Bacter AE Micro Powder are activated as soon as they come into contact with water. They remove toxic substances and together with all the other carefully fine tuned components, they provide your aquarium with a good microclimate.
Dosage (for 30 gallon aquarium)
- lowly stocked: daily 1/2 measuring spoon*
- normally stocked: daily 1 measuring spoon*
- heavily stocked: twice a day 1 measuring spoon*
We recommend when used for the first time, add only half the dosage during the first week
* 1 measuring spoon = about 0.5g (spoon included)

Originally purchased for my planted shrimp tank but tried it in my quarantine tank for new otocinclus. They did not enjoy algae wafers (and most brands are too meaty anyway). It’s easy to lose new otos to starvation and as they are aufwuchs eaters thought I would try this. I put in way too much and the biofilm absolutely took off!! It clogged up my sponge filter but nothing a good soak and squeeze in tank water wouldn’t solve. The otos are absolutely thriving and I love seeing their full tummies. The shrimp love it, too! Great product and lasts a long time.

Whenever I add a tiny dose of Bacter AE to my Bloody Mary shrimp colony, the shrimp, Nerite snails and other random snails come running. The only negative is that you realize how many uninvited/unwanted/unappreciated/undesirable snails are living in your aquariums.

This come in a really neat package. Spoon, reusable sceal everything is there for what you expect from quality product.
My shrimp eat less food in my tank after starting feeding this every other day. Really love this powder food.
