If you don’t always have time an automatic fish feeder is ideal. Also when on holiday. You can easily programme the feeding times as well as the amount of food and the fish feeder ventilates the food at precisely the correct doing time into the water. With a simple press of a button “snacks” are also possible at any time.

The function keys are splash proof . A warning system quickly shows low battery level. And of course the feeders fit feeder openings on the VARILUX aquarium hoods; they are also equipped with a bracket for open-top aquariums and terrariums – also for nano aquariums.

Excellent vacation feeder

I decided to go ahead with this model and bought 3 weeks before my vacation, so plenty of time to try it out. I am using it on a Fluval 9 USG tank, with a top cover that is not straight. It comes with a piece of velcro for such scanario, but I used black electric tape, to mount on top of the cover - above the feeding slot. I program it to feed once/day in the morning. Have flakes in it, which were squashed to small pieces. The opening slot of feeder was left with small opening - which I taped as well. No issues with feeding and slot getting blocked, no humidity either that will shut the opening. Very happy with the purchase and yes, even after vacation I am still using it, as is very convenient. Super happy with the purchase for a vacation reliable solution.

Proven model

This is the second Ehiem feeder like this that I have owned. The first I bought in the 1990's and there are minor tweaks to this model (like the ventilation to keep food dry). It is easy and reliable. Only downside is that with micro pellets it might dump too many for you; this could be fixed with a piece of tape to block off a bit more of the opening.

Amazing product!

This is an excellent product. Nice portion size control and weighted so it doesn't fall over when full. Pretty indestructible too, ive dropped it several times and it restarted every time.
