Biohome Plus 5kg

Biohome Plus is one of the original Biohome filter media. This biological media doesn't have the protected internal surface area such as the newer Biohome Ultimate media, therefore it doesn't get easily colonized by anaerobic denitryfing bacteria and it doesn't reduce nitrates. Small amounts of nitrates (NO₃) are necessary for proper growth of plants, therefore this media is a good fit for planted tanks. 

Biohome Plus contains trace elements, which helps speed up colonisation of the media by beneficial bacteria. he trace elements are responsible for the reddish colour of the media.

The filter media is shipped with complementary filter starter gel balls that are full of beneficial bacteria.
