Description

This internal fluidized bed air filter is designed to be used as a stand alone filter in up to 20 gallon tanks or as an additional filter for up to 80 gallon tanks. It contains 300ml of the ZM-1 self-cleaning media, that hosts the beneficial bacteria. As the media constantly moves and rubbs against each other,  it removes the old/dead bacteria and creates space for growth of the new bacteria. The filter efficiently removes ammonia and nitrites. To prevent clogging of the media, the bottom of the filter is equipped with a coarse sponge filter that traps debris. That is the only part of the filter that has to be maintained.

Content of the box:

  • ZB-300 filter with 300ml ZM-1 media and a coarse sponge
  • 4 suction cups - to attach  the filter to the wall of the aquarium
  • airline tubing
  • air valve to control the speed of the tumbling of the media
  • air pump is not included

Great product with the moving bed media, does my 20 gallon long tank no problem, reduces ammonia to nitrates very well. In addition it is a great conversation item as folks want to know whats going on with the moving bed!!

i've only been running this filter for a few weeks now, but I can already tell that this is a Great biological filter. If I do get another tank, I will be getting another one of these filters.

This was the second Ziss moving bed filter I got from AngelFins. First off costumer service is great! Highly recommend dealing with AngelFins!
The product is great, virtually self cleaning as the media always in motion. The only thing needs to be cleaned is the course intake sponge, which is designed to be removed with an easy twist of the end cap. This is a great filter to add to your tank.

Good Biological Filter

I've had this filter for 4 months and can now say that it is a very good biological filter. It is quite expensive compared to say a sponge filter but is aesthetically more pleasing. Bottom line - it works.
