Eheim TORF pellets consist of specailly treated naturally acid peat. They are rich in valuable substances like humic matter and trace elements (therefore do not wash them out). The pellets will release tannins into your aquarium water, giving it a rich golden appearance making them suitable for tropical fish living in black water.

• Don't wash out pellets, otherwise you will loose valuable substances
• Change after 3-6 months
• Don't use together with active carbon
• Only suitable for fresh water
