The 3D Printed Fish Egg Catcher is an air-powered spawning and collection system engineered to save eggs from egg-scattering species—such as Danios, Tetras, Rasboras and Rainbowfish —before adult fish can eat them.
The system provides an affordable, flexible solution that works with almost any hanging fry basket, specimen container, or mesh breeder box you already own.
How It Works
Place the unit at the bottom of your aquarium. Adult fish are naturally drawn to spawn over the included mesh plate holding either moss, guppy grass or hornworth. As eggs are scattered, they fall safely through the top grid into the funnel base, out of reach of hungry parents.
A gentle, air-powered lift tube draws eggs from the funnel throat and carries them up through a 21 cm rigid riser tube. The directional spout deposits the eggs directly into your collection container at the surface, along with a continuous flow of fresh, oxygenated water that helps keep eggs clean and prevents fungus.
