Ophiopogon japonica 'Kyoto', commonly known as Kyoto Dwarf Mondo Grass, is a compact, grass-like plant cultivar. It forms dense clumps of dark green foliage, making it an excellent choice for foreground accents in terrariums, paludariums, or the emersed sections of an aquarium. While it can tolerate submersion for extended periods, it thrives best with its leaves above the waterline, producing a lush, natural appearance.

This cultivar offers a striking contrast against other aquatic plants due to its unique texture and deep green colouration. It is relatively hardy and low-maintenance, requiring moderate light and stable conditions to flourish. Its slow growth rate means minimal trimming is required, maintaining a tidy aesthetic in your aquatic or semi-aquatic centrepiece.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

At checkout, you can leave your request in the comments box.

Our locker boxes are located in the foyer of our store at 230 Hanlon Creek Blvd, Unit 107, Guelph. The room is accessible from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
