The Calico Sunkist Shrimp is a colourful Neocaridina variant displaying a mix of orange, red, and sometimes translucent or patterned patches, giving it a “calico” appearance rather than a solid colour. Each shrimp can look slightly different, which makes colonies especially varied and visually interesting in planted aquariums. Active and peaceful, it constantly grazes on algae, biofilm, and leftover food while helping maintain a clean tank environment. Like other Neocaridina shrimp, it is hardy, adaptable, and beginner-friendly, and it breeds easily in stable freshwater conditions. Adults typically grow to about 1–1.25 inches (2.5–3 cm).

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

At checkout, you can leave your request in the comments box.

Our locker boxes are located in the foyer of our store at 230 Hanlon Creek Blvd, Unit 107, Guelph. The room is accessible from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
