Corydoras are famous for sticking their adhesive eggs all over the aquarium glass—often scattered in high-flow or hard-to-reach areas. Rolling them off with your fingertips risks squishing the delicate membrane, and razor scrapers often pop or damage them before they drop into the gravel where they get eaten.
With this collector, simply place the chisel lip against the glass just beneath the eggs and push gently upward. The angled scraper peels the adhesive eggs cleanly away from the glass, rolling them directly into the 30 mm deep protective basket.
Got an outbreak of nuisance Ramshorn, Pond, or Bladder snails crawling up your front glass? Instead of picking them off one by one or crushing them against the glass (which clouds water and fouls parameters), glide the collection basket up the pane. The beveled lip scoops adult and juvenile snails cleanly off the glass and traps them inside the container for quick, chemical-free disposal or feeding to pufferfish and loaches.
Specifications:
- Overall Dimensions: 80 mm W×34.5 mm D×31.5 mm H (3.15"×1.35"×1.24")
- Drainage Slot Width: 0.5 mm (Pygmy Cory & baby snail safe)
How to Use
- Submerge & Position: Lower the basket into the tank with the flat scraping rim against the glass panel, just below the targeted eggs or snails.
- Smooth Upward Stroke: Using the contoured rear shelf for your thumb, push gently upward along the glass. The beveled lip peels the eggs/snails cleanly off into the basket.
- Corner Collection: For eggs or snails clustered near corners, turn the basket sideways and utilize either the left or right 30 mm beveled edge.
- Drain & Transfer: Lift the unit above the water line—excess water drains out the bottom within 2 seconds. Transfer your collected eggs directly into your hatching tray/breeder box, or dispose of collected pest snails.
