A beautiful nano fish with metallic blue-green striping and orange fins. It thrives in cool, well-planted aquariums and reaches about 2.5 cm (1 inch). Closely related to the Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus), it shares similar habitat requirements and behavior. Because of their close relationship, Emerald Dwarf Rasboras and Celestial Pearl Danios have been known to hybridize in aquariums, so they should be housed separately if maintaining pure breeding lines is desired.
