The Beauty Shrimp is an elegant and lesser-known Caridina species admired for its delicate patterning and translucent body accented with fine stripes and markings. More subtle in appearance than many selectively bred dwarf shrimp, it displays a natural beauty that becomes especially apparent in well-planted aquariums. Peaceful and active, it spends much of its time grazing on biofilm, algae, and microscopic food particles on plants and hardscape. Like many Caridina species, it prefers stable water conditions and appreciates a mature aquarium with plenty of natural grazing surfaces. Adults typically grow to about 1–1.5 inches (2.5–4 cm).
