The Red Nose Shrimp is a distinctive freshwater shrimp recognised by its long, bright red rostrum (nose) and transparent body. An active and graceful swimmer, it spends much of its time picking at algae and biofilm on plants, driftwood, and aquarium surfaces. Unlike many dwarf shrimp, it is often seen swimming openly throughout the aquarium, making it an interesting and highly visible addition to planted tanks. While adults live happily in freshwater, their larvae require brackish water to develop, so they will not reproduce successfully in a typical community aquarium. Adults typically grow to about 1.5–2 inches (4–5 cm).

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

At checkout, you can leave your request in the comments box.

Our locker boxes are located in the foyer of our store at 230 Hanlon Creek Blvd, Unit 107, Guelph. The room is accessible from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
