The Marbled Limpet is a small, flattened freshwater snail with a unique cap-like shell that clings tightly to hard surfaces. It is a peaceful and highly efficient algae grazer, often seen slowly “gliding” across glass, rocks, and driftwood as it feeds on biofilm. Unlike many snails, it does not move much around the tank and prefers stable, well-oxygenated water with plenty of surfaces to graze. Completely harmless to fish and plants, it typically grows to about 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm).

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

At checkout, you can leave your request in the comments box.

Our locker boxes are located in the foyer of our store at 230 Hanlon Creek Blvd, Unit 107, Guelph. The room is accessible from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
