Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 is the most easily soluble variant of our Sulawesi Mineral range. It buffers the pH at approximately 7.5 and is used for mineralizing RO water, rainwater, fully desalinated water, etc.
Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 contains all the important minerals and trace elements that well-known shrimp species from this region require for their health, well-being, and coloration. Cardinal shrimp (Caridina dennerli) breeders have used it very successfully. This mineral salt promotes the microbial regeneration of biological filter substrates.
Raises carbonate and total hardness at a ratio of KH/°dH = 0.42/1.0.

Note
Shrimp originating from Lake Towuti on Sulawesi (e.g., the freshwater harlequin shrimp, Caridina woltereckae, or the red banded shrimp, Caridina striata) remain very difficult to breed in captivity. Consequently, we (Frank and Carsten Logemann) returned to the Ancient Lakes on Sulawesi in 2011, following our initial trip in 2008, to examine habitat conditions and collect water samples for analysis.
The results of these analyses show fundamental differences in the water chemistry of the Malili Lakes compared to typical lacustrine waters. We subsequently reworked the mineral composition, resulting in the creation of Sulawesi Mineral 8.5.

Less finicky Sulawesi shrimp, such as the freshwater cardinal shrimp (Caridina dennerli), can be kept and bred with positive outcomes using either Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 or Sulawesi Mineral 8.5. For more sensitive species, we hope to achieve long-term breeding success through the use of Sulawesi Mineral 8.5, which is virtually identical to the water chemistry of Lake Towuti.

Instructions for use
Add Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 to water outside of your aquarium. It will dissolve almost completely within seconds, and the water is ready for immediate use. We recommend matching the temperature of the new water to that in your tank. Please ensure that any undissolved particles are also added to your tank. Close the container securely after every use.

Dosage
RO water, rainwater, or fully desalinated water should be remineralized with Sulawesi Mineral 7.5 until a hardness of approximately 6 °dH and/or a conductance of approximately 270 +/- 40 µS (microsiemens) is reached. This corresponds to one slightly heaped measuring spoon (approximately 3.5 g) per 15 litres (approximately 4 gallons) of water. A measuring spoon is enclosed.

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

At checkout, you can leave your request in the comments box.
