Contrasand is a natural, custom-blended substrate designed for both freshwater aquariums and terrariums. It comes in a variety of tones and granule sizes to help you create the perfect aquascape. This substrate is safe for fish, invertebrates, and reptiles.

Extra Fine Sand features a fine grain size, making it ideal for use in the foreground and top layers of your setup. The approximate grain size ranges from 0.4 to 0.9 mm.

Bora is a fine natural sand containing a mixture of lighter tones that is perfect for highlighting vibrant aquatic plants, tropical livestock and darker layout materials.

Aquarium Size: The 3L bag will create a 2" layer in 12" x 8" tank.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

Our locker boxes are located in the foyer of our store at 230 Hanlon Creek Blvd, Unit 107, Guelph. The room is accessible from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
