Mid-sized brine shrimp hatchery that can be placed on the supplied three-legged stand or hung on the side of the tank for hatching baby brine shrimp (Artemia salina). The bottom of the 700 ml container is equipped with a needle valve, allowing for easy straining of the baby brine shrimp. When the baby brine shrimp are hatched, they are attracted to light. You can place an LED light underneath the container, which will attract the baby brine shrimp to swim to the bottom of the container close to the valve. The empty shells will remain floating at the top. When you drain the solution via the needle valve and stop just below the floating shells, you will obtain a shell-free solution. You can strain it (to remove the saltwater) using the Ziss Sieve or a fine fish net.

Baby brine shrimp require light for their hatching process. Temperature influences the speed of hatching. When incandescent light is used as a source of light, it generates sufficient heat for proper hatching. However, when an LED light is used, an additional source of heat is required; otherwise, the speed of hatching can be delayed by up to 12 hours. The manufacturer anticipated this and created a hole in the middle of the lid for a supplemental heater.

Size of the assembled unit: W10 cm x L10 cm x H36 cm
Volume of the hatchery: 700 ml

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Yes, you can order fish along with dry goods. However, if the dry goods are heavy or bulky, it may be more cost-effective to place two separate orders. In that case, you could ship the dry goods using a slower, more affordable shipping option.

If your order has not shipped yet, you can email us your correct shipping address, and we will update it for you.

On weekdays, if we receive your order before 2 p.m., it will be shipped out the same day. Dry goods are shipped from Monday to Friday. Orders that include livestock are only shipped from Monday to Thursday to avoid transit over the weekend.

At checkout, you can leave your request in the comments box.
