An efficient Artemia hatchery. I have been using some older designs and wanted to try this one. Impressed with it. Strong, stable when in use and easy to clean.

So it’s not cheap for what it is, and sure you can accomplish the same thing with some pop bottles, but this thing is solid, sturdy, and easy to use. I love it.

After testing several hatchery kits, this one is by far the most sturdy design for a 1 -2 liter hatchery. Because ZIss products are not widely available in the North American market, I very glad to see them listed on Angelfins store !

The opening made on the top for fitting a heater in the hatchery is a good idea as hatching is optimum at 29°C which is higher than the room temperature.

The optimal conditions reported:
Temperature: 29 °C
Light : 2000 Lux (and surprisingly this really influence the hatching success)
Salinity: 29 ppt (but this variable is not influencing that much the hatching success if salt water is used)

Recently did my first batch using this hatchery. Got a very good hatch rate. I like the design. Only minor issue is the heater hole in center of lid...I had to break of the small plastic supports so my heater would fit deep enough into the water. It works now but there are many heater designs that may not fit. Overall it's not cheap but it works very well.

Best Brineshrimp Hatchery to date. I have made a few as well as purchased and used other products. This by far is the best in terms of hatching and the ease of harvesting the shrimp. I wish they have provided a lid/cover for the heater as an option if you dont need to use the heater. More updates to follow.
