I am currently setting these up for my 20 gallon long tanks.
Good quality material. Wish I had more of these!
I had to trim them a bit to fit my tank but that was easy.

Not used yet, but looks like quality foam

I bought it to make a Hamburg Mattenfilter is a new setup, but plans changed.

Not used it yet, but it looks as quality foam. Jet lifter is big, as for not less than 10 gal tanks, mine are smaller, but another tubing could be used.

The idea of not transparent tube was based on preventing algae growth in the dark, because this kind of filters shouldn't be cleaned on regular basis, see website of Swiss Tropicals.
