Healthy fish , but small 5

ordered 4 fish to complement my community tank. Fish were small (I was told that in advance) but health and active from the time they hit my tank. No problems with water condition (I have hard town water, PH of 7.6 and temperature of 87 F) Unfortunately, over the next 5 days my male bristlenose pleco decided that they were not welcome in the tank and they all were killed by him. Well, he has now found a new home and I will try those GBRs again in the near future.
