I was watching many YouTube videos talking about this type of filter media before I decide to purchase it and was happy to find out Angelfins was distributing it in Canada. All the reviews were very positive about how absorbant it was and how the composition and structure maximize the surface for the bacterias to colonize the media. I started a new 3G tank (rescue tank) a week ago by using this type of media and adding the water from my cycled tank with a fish inside (quarantine ). So far no presence of amonia or nitrite in my daily test with the API kit.
I may be more expensive than the other ceramic media but it is totally worth it considering you will use them for many years.
