I wrote a good review when I bought these back in December but now that they’ve grown a couple inches to 5-6” they have become sly nocturnal hunters. If they can fit a fish or even a fin in their mouths they will. I’ve had small angelfish and tetras taken down by them and others have their fins ripped off. If you Google channel catfish, these are a type of those and they are described as “swimming tongues” and “wolves of the aquarium.”

Only buy if you have extra large fish at least their size or semi-aggressive fish that can fight back.

I gave mine to a friend who has large cichlids and discus so they should be ok in his tank.
