Worked but destroyed water quality

Next time I would look for an alternative product because although it did cure my fish, it caused the bacteria colonies in my tank to collapse, even with bacteria supplements and small water changes. My fish got a bad case of fin rot because of bad water quality, which fortunately I was able to treat after the fact without any casualties.
