Exactly what I was hoping for
By Ryan from Hamilton, Canada on November 17, 2020
I'd highly recommend. The price per shrimp was relatively low so I was expecting lower quality shrimp to reflect that, but the shrimp were excellent. In line with what I would hope to receive for shrimp being sold for twice this much. All arrived alive and continue to thrive. I bought 20, ~14 or so were a solid, consistent ruby red, including majority of the legs, and no dark spots or discoloration of any kind on the abdomen or carapace. 2 were much more transparent and had a weaker color than the rest. 2 others were ruby red but with a large dark red spot on the carapace. The last two were a much darker red than the rest.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Critically Endangered
By Lyndsay from Saint John, Canada on November 17, 2020
Listed as critically endangered by IUCN and does not breed in captivity. Support sustainable and responsible importers.

Response from AngelFins:
Below is some information about this species available on the IUCN website that you are referencing. Based on the assessment by IUCN from May 2019, the species is not considered endangered.
https://www.iucnredlist.org/species/91181155/91181159#text-fields
"Survey data indicate that this species is still abundant in many parts of its known distribution. However, given that the extent of occurrence (EOO) of this species remains unknown because of the paucity of data, in addition to the fact that the habitat primarily associated with this species (blackwater peat swamp forests) has undergone large scale destruction and degradation and the uncertainty surrounding the effects of such massive habitat loss on the population, this species is assessed as Data Deficient. It will be necessary to reassess this species once more information on the distribution and the effect of habitat loss on the population is available."

We believe that importing these fish to Canada is helping protect this species as their natural habitat is being destroyed.

Critically Endangered
By Lyndsay Godley from New Brunswick, Canada on November 17, 2020
This species has not been successfully bred in captivity, and is classed by IUCN as Critically Endangered.

I was about to place a big order with Angelfins but have changed my mind. Support sustainable and responsible importers.

Most are great!
By Nate from Ontario, Canada on November 15, 2020
Ordered 6 to add to my school of neons in my main tank.

They looked washed out on arrival, to be expected. (Locker pick-up by the way).

After 24 hours they have coloured up nicely. They are in a 10gal quarantine right now, voracious eaters...

Only problem is there seems to be a “runt” that is being harassed by the others.

Can’t blame a store for natural fish behaviour though. After 4 days, I would say I’m very pleased with how these fish are doing so far. Can’t wait to get them into the main tank

These little fellas are very great. They are fast and healtly little pleco. Look nice and after more than week seem to well adapt in my tank. Order them online and they arrived well pack with some heat stone so they do not freaze to death. Haapy with the purchase.
