I run a rimless tank and this works incredibly well in removing anything on the surface. My water is crisp looking from the top - without this skimmer it would be milky.

It's quite compact too, coming in at about 15cm high. Very silent when running and creates extra flow.

Was about to cheap out and not test my water - terrible idea. I have total control over my water now. I searched and found out that each test kit does like 500 tests (can't remember exact amount but it's in the hundreds). So test as you will - it's nice to keep a log. It's very dynamic and a joy to be intimate with your water parameters.

If you have a fancy faucet, check if the decorative trim screws off the faucet to reveal regular threads. I'm really glad this works for me. I live in a new condo and can't sacrifice the flooring with water dripping everywhere - something that comes with a bucket system. After using this system, I do water changes seamlessly which I enjoy. Water changes bring health to fish and plants.

Tip: To refill the tank without disturbing the substrate or creating unnecessary water flow, put the siphon into a jar or bottle. Also buy a $5 clamp from homedepot to keep the siphon end in place while you do adjustments at the faucet end.

Very good investment.

Flawless, thick, doesnt bend when fullfilled, brand logo can be removed easily, VERY easy to clean, very smooth bevels.

I am very happy with this product. It's very quiet and has more then enough power to supply air to multiple tanks. (I have it supplying 10 tanks with multiple filters and breeder boxes). I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good quality air pump that will supply a steady amount of air to many tanks.
